As we have announced, Rusty Wallace is now the official racing analyst for ESPN. And what better way to break him in than with a little music from Tony Justice. That’s right, ESPN has licensed the track Rockin Rusty for use during the 2006 NASCAR season, and has already played it to welcome Rusty Wallace to their fold.
Jan. 27, 2006 - ROCKIN RUSTY RELEASED AS RUSTY BECOMES COMMENTATOR
Yesterday, ESPN announced that Rusty Wallace will be their official racing analyst for the 2006 NASCAR Season, starting with the Daytona 500. In a stroke of excellent timing, Rockin Rusty was released this past Tuesday, Jan 24th.

Last Thursday, SLANT was interviewed by John Melendez (Stuttering John to you Howard Stern fans). SLANT was one of the bands that John profiled in his piece on up and coming LA bands. He had Fahim (lead singer in SLANT) make up lyrics to THE TONIGHT SHOW theme song. Fahim did a wonderful job. He sang 'Welcome to my pants'. Viewers obviously loved... The emails have been pouring in from all over the country.

In a recent article in Music Connection, Gotham's president stated "The label is working non-stop to maintain its reputation within the indie music scene by working with acts that we feel are passionate about their music and have a strong understanding of what it takes to promote themselves." Gotham recently signed one such act from Los Angeles called SLANT.

Patrick Arn moderated the 'Complete Package' panel at NEMO 2004 in Boston and spoke on CMJ's DIY panel. He utilized both panels to spend time providing the listeners, most of which were aspiring musicians with recorded albums, with the answers they wanted.
