After spending time in the San Francisco Bay Area music scene with several projects that lacked the dedication he was looking for, singer/songwriter Omar Nieto, found his match in four of his childhood friends and classically-trained musicians...Hence the birth of Red Horizon.

With Ulises Rodriguez on bass, Namor "NayNay" Nalupta on drums, Carlos Ibarra and Villardo Marilao on guitars, Red Horizon draws on its diverse Latin background to craft it's own brand of edgy, melodic, modern music that rocks!

After paying their dues in clubs and dive bars in and around the Bay area, the band finally earned some well-deserved recognition by fans and critics alike. On February 11, 2006, Red Horizon took 1st place in the Nation's longest-running Battle of The Bands. Soon after, the band took its act on the road with an independent tour across the United States.

In the summer of 2006, looking to book more shows outside of their market, Red Horizon contacted Gotham Records in the hopes of trading shows with LA-based band, SLANT. This led to Gotham Records signing the band as the first group in its new "Digital First" deals (where the band's first album is distributed through digital outlets only).

In January 2007, Red Horizon achieved one of its major goals when they were signed to New York City-based label, Gotham Records. The band is determined to work harder than ever with this rare opportunity to take their musical careers to the next level. Be on the lookout for Red Horizon as they tour relentlessly this summer in preparation for their first full-length album "Across the World" on Gotham Records...Which is currently available only on the main digital retailers like iTunes, Napster, etc.
