Midline

When Gotham Records released Midline's self-titled debut album on July 9th, 2002, we showed the country that Idaho raises much more than great potatoes...

Midline belts out emotional songs that bring to mind bands such as Creed, Soundgarden, and Stone Temple Pilots. But, by no means is their sound limited to this scope... Midline's music has something for everybody. "The artful song writing, coupled with the heavy beat promise to appeal to a wide range of music lovers--from die-hard metal heads to those more of the 'light' hits persuasion," says Stacy Vanek Smith of the Boise Weekly. "What really makes [the album] stand out is its refreshing variety of sounds; the disc has a lot to say and each song is a work in its own right and not merely a slight variation on the other songs."

With this refreshing variety of musical flavors, Midline instantly captivates an audience's attention with the first note, and holds it until the last. This intensity has earned them an amazingly loyal fan base, as well as opening spots for big name acts across the musical spectrum, from Motley Crüe to fellow Jägermeister-sponsored bands Drowning Pool and Coal Chamber, and all the way to Built to Spill.

Each song on their self-titled Gotham debut is its own rock masterpiece, making for an album that rocks from start to finish. And if you thought you liked the album the first time you heard it, just wait until you've listened to it three or four times. These songs will grow on you like the finest of Idaho's signature crop. How do you like them potatoes?
