Love Huskies
If, for some odd reason you are unfamiliar with the Love Huskies, here's the scoop?
The Love Huskies are a Philadelphia-based band consisting of three brothers and a cousin. They have an edgy alternative sound that mixes influences from the late 60's England (Rolling Stones, Faces) with more current Midwest fare (Soul Asylum, Urge Overkill).
The Love Huskies' first Gotham Records' release, Semi-Gloss, was a major success for this family quartet. It received extensive press (Gavin, Hits, etc.) and radio coverage (Over 60 commercial stations added the album to their rotations), and the band toured nationally in support of the album.

The latest album, entitled Sparks Street, was produced by Godfrey Diamond (Aerosmith, Lou Reed, Bogmen) and heightened the band's popularity. The songs, "Staying Down", "Garage Beat Poets", and "Indie Films" off the new album have already caught the attention of music directors at some of the major commercial stations in the northeast. Y-100, WMMR, and 97 Max have all added the new material to their playlists. In fact, Y-100 has asked the Love Huskies to kick off their Matchbox 20, Semi-Sonic, Soul Asylum concert at the Philadelphia Spectrum. Sparks Street is available throughout the U.S.
